Master Pollak began his training in Delaware, while attending the University of Delaware. His training was in American Kenpo under Jim Clapp. Upon moving back to New Jersey after college he continued his training under Ed Naugen in the same art. Master Pollak has always sought ways to improve his art and his teaching. In 1987 he got involved with a pressure point organization called the DKI (Dillman Karate International) and reached the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt.  He also did extensive training with the Late Professor Remy Presas in the art of Modern Arnis achieving the rank of Brown Belt, and under Professor Wally Jay in the art of Small Circle Ju-jitsu. In 1995 he joined the Dragon Society and began training with Grand Masters Tom Muncy and Rick Moneymaker and has earned the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt (Master Ranking) in Torite Jutsu and Okinawan Kempo Karate-Do making him the most senior rank in Torite Jutsu for the entire Northeastern United States.  Under Grand Masters Tom Muncy and Rick Moneymaker Master Pollak has also been awarded the position of Certified Senior Instructor in Torite Jutsu.  The highest Torite Jutsu Instructor Ranking in the Northeastern United States. In the Spring of 2000 Master Pollak was inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame as Instructor of the Year. Master Pollak is Instructor College Certified by Black Belt Schools International.

Master Pollak also joined several organizations to help him learn how to better teach children.   He belonged to:

Master Pollak applies what he has learned through all of these great organizations when he trains his instructors, when he personally teaches classes at RKA Family Karate and when he teaches seminars at other schools.

Mr. Laggini has been training in the martial arts for over 7 years in variety of martial arts systems. He specializes in bringing the best out of himself and others. Mr. Laggini has helped numerous individuals both within and outside our dojo to achieve their personal best in everything they strive for. Mr. Laggini is active helping seniors to achieve peak physical condition for longer happier and healthier life through the martial arts. He does this with stretching, strength training, breath control and the development of a strong mind. Mr. Laggini has trained hard and holds the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt in Okinawan Kempo Karate-Do and is very accomplished in the art of Ryukyu Kempo.  Sensei Laggini has also just finished a special Instructors Training College through the Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA).

 

Victor Trinchera - Instructor


Mr. Trinchera is one of our very first students.  He began his martial arts training with Master Pollak in 1992.  Mr. Trinchera began studying with us at the Bridgewater rescue squad and grew with us through our first school in Bound Brook and now to our location in Bridgewater.  Mr. Victor is extremely well versed in the art of Torite Jutsu (the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM as it is applied to the martial arts.  Mr. Victor is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Okinawan Kempo Karate-Do and 1st Dan in Torite Jutsu.  He is also instructor college certified.
